The world today has become one in which
technology, riding on the back of scientific advance, appears to lead
societal evolution. Travel and communication are two of the areas
in which this is profoundly evident. Advances in travel now allow anyone
to span distances in hours that, a century and a half ago, required weeks
or months to traverse. Communication is instantaneous and omnipresent
throughout most regions of the world.
While communication has become instantaneous, this in itself poses a
dilemma. With a flood of information deluging our senses, we are left
to the task of sifting through this maelstrom to discover what is truly
relevant. The search engine has not yet been devised which can strip
out the plethora of spurious data sources to deliver only relevant content.
This, then, has become our mission.
On this page you will find the most comprehensive collection of up-to-date
technology and science news sites discussing current events in
technology and science such as new scientific discoveries, recent
technological advances and breakthroughs, and the implications these
changes pose for the increasingly global and technology-dependent society
within which we live.
In addition to direct links to numerous technology and science portals and
websites, we have included a selection of RSS feeds delivering
real-time updates, thereby enabling you to quickly scan for the most recent
technology and science posts relevant to your interests. You can find
these feeds listed under “Tech News Headlines” toward the
bottom of the page. If a delay occurs in any of the RSS feeds,
you will experience a delay in page loading, so please be patient.
We are proud to note that, at the time of this writing, a Google search
for technology current events ranks this page #3 out of 174
million search results, so bookmark us for quick reference if you crave
constant up-to-the-minute breaking news relating to technology and science
topics or are just looking for a quick update with your morning cup of
coffee.
